Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data Mathovore collects on mathovore.fr and its English version, why, how long it is kept, and which rights you have. Mathovore collects only the data it needs to run the site.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Sébastien Reingbach, 12 avenue du général de Gaulle, 75016 Paris, France. For any question about your data, write to us through the contact form.

2. Data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, your email address, the grade or course you choose and your message.
  • Member account (if you create one): email address, username and an encrypted password.
  • Membership payments: handled entirely by PayPal; we never receive or store card or bank details.
  • Browsing data: pages viewed, visit length, traffic source, browser type, operating system and screen size, collected through cookies or similar technologies.

We do not collect sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions, biometric data and so on).

3. Why we use your data

  • To give access to lessons, worksheets, tests, quizzes and PDF downloads.
  • To manage member accounts and memberships.
  • To answer messages sent through the contact form.
  • To measure audience and improve the pages.
  • To show advertising that keeps most of the content free, with your consent where required.

4. Cookies and advertising

Mathovore uses cookies needed for the site to work (for example to keep you signed in), audience measurement cookies and advertising cookies from Google AdSense and its partners. Advertising and measurement cookies are placed only according to the choices you make in the consent banner, which follows the IAB Europe Transparency Consent Framework. You can change your choices at any time from the banner, and you can also block cookies in your browser settings; some features may then stop working.

5. Children

The site is designed for students, parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian: the lessons, worksheets and quizzes can be used without an account, and students under 13 should ask an adult to use the contact form for them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Who receives your data

Your data is never sold. It is used only by the Mathovore team and by the service providers we need: our host OVH (France), PayPal for payments, and Google for audience measurement and advertising, within the limits of your consent.

7. How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for up to 3 years after the last exchange; member accounts while they are active and up to 3 years after the last login; payment records for the period required by accounting law; cookies for up to 13 months.

8. Your rights

You have a right of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability of your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, write to us through the contact form. If you are in the European Union, you can also file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS, passwords are encrypted, and access to the server is restricted. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated when the site changes; the date of the last update is shown below. The French version of this policy prevails in case of a difference of interpretation.
